I am an enthusiastic creative and dynamic person with a love of dogs, travel, popcorn, photography, Dahl Makhani, salty chocolate, practising handstands and frolicking in the sea. I am a bilingual Canadian citizen with a French Canadian father and Haitian mother. I am 38, recently married to an Englishman I met and worked for in Sierra Leone; love to run; have a committed yoga and meditation practise ; and have a dog named Portion that was a gift from my grade 2 students in Nigeria. I have traveled a lot since my father worked for the Canadian Embassy and was posted all over the world.

I am deeply interested in Emotional Intelligence and created a curriculum that I call Emotional Literacy for early primary. I am a qualified children's yoga instructor and focus on mindfulness and breathing techniques to manage stress and uncomfortable feelings in the classroom. I am also an Active Learning advocate and believe we learn through all our senses.

I came to teaching late in life: My background is in Cultural Anthropology and Sociology, and then I studied Photography and worked in the fashion industry before becoming a dog walker and vet assistant!

I came to work with kids after my sister had her first child. I was absolutely fascinated by him and thus began my passion for children' high quality education. I am a total education nerd and a life long learner. I love talking best practise and child psychology.

I am beyond thrilled to be back to my beloved India and look forward to teaching in at Chettinad Lincoln International School.
